Merry Christmas from The Edie Hand Foundation
To my Friends, Family, and Associates
This has been an exciting year for many of us and challenging for others. Hurricanes, fires and other natural disasters have brought together communities to help neighbors get back on their feet. I believe we see the best in people when we work collectively to overcome the hurdles that life throws at us every day.
With a New Year just weeks away, it is my fervent wish and prayer that 2018 brings us a better life and more opportunities. This past year I got to share the story of my family, the loss of my brothers and how it helped me embark on a path to pay it forward in life and help others along the way. I am truly appreciative of the many people who enjoyed the documentary, The Last Ride, Lessons of Love. If you haven’t seen the video, I would like to extend the opportunity to view the film in its entirety here. http://hhentertainment.biz/film/
The Edie Hand Foundation has also had an active year and I have been very busy with speaking engagements and promoting women’s program through an organization like Northwestern Mutual of Alabama. This year I was a part of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s women of distinction event that raised over $100,000 at their luncheon.Working alongside Terre Thomas to raise funds to further their work has been a true calling.
In 2017 we were able to showcase the theme song, “A Better Tomorrow” from our documentary, “The Last Ride.” Vocal artist Victoria Renée is featured on iTunes promoting this song, and has agreed to donate a portion of sales through the end of the year to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. You can click here to purchase and download the song from iTunes. http://bit.ly/victoriarenee
I continued to donate books, thousands of dollars in services, and national speaking fees to help raise awareness and funds for various groups including the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. I would like to thank you for your support and previous donations to help further our work in making the world a better place to raise our children. In order to continue our work and expand our efforts please consider making a donation to The Edie Hand Foundation this holiday season.
As always, I wish you and your families and loved ones a very Merry Christmas and many blessings throughout the year.
