FedEx held their annual FedEx St. Jude Invitational golf outing this week and Edie Hand was in Memphis to support and bolster her work for St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and also to take in time with friends at the golf tournament. And, if you follow golf, the winner was Brooks Koepka who shot a 65 in the final round to win the first WGC title.
Since 1970, when the world-renowned institution became the event’s sole beneficiary, contributions to St. Jude have totaled more than $43 million. Thanks to the support of events like the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, St. Jude treats children from all 50 states and around the world. Because the majority of St. Jude funding comes from generous donors, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation.
