Are you an avid Elvis fan? If so, you don’t want to miss The Genuine Elvis Book Signing by Edie and Ronnie at The Historic Bama Theatre on February 13th, 2026! Starting at 7 p.m., Ronnie will have some of his Elvis art prints available during a meet-and-greet and book signing with Edie and Ronnie. Then Ronnie McDowell and his band will be in concert from 7 pm to 9 pm.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend the evening with Edie Hand, Ronnie McDowell, and special friends from the book with Elvis stories brought to life! Featuring gospel works by Billy Blackwood, one of Elvis’ drummers with his voice band, and John Briggs and his brother David Briggs, who was a studio pianist and music arranger for Elvis. The evening is co-hosted by DC Daniel and Edie Hand, who is Elvis’s cousin. Her grandmother and Elvis’s grandmother were sisters. Edie has lots of interesting and entertaining stories about growing up around Elvis and the women behind him. Ronnie McDowell is the voice of Elvis and one of country music’s most enduring vocalists. His career spans more than fifty charting singles. “The King Is Gone” is a tribute to Elvis by Ronnie McDowell, and he will sing hits of his like “Older Women”.
Joining Ronnie McDowell to sing some Gospel songs is Billy Blackwood, the son of legendary Gospel music singer James Blackwood, who played Drums for Elvis with his band The
Voice in the early 70s. He is on our 30-hour weekend show that Ronnie, DC & Steve & I produced with over a dozen interviews from the book “Genuine Elvis,” which is being brought to life and is the theme of our January 16th through 18 weekend and concert airings on Town Square Media … 95.3 in Tuscaloosa!
