Edie Hand will be producing a documentary highlighting the personal stories of former Alabama First Ladies, Marsha Folsom (D) and Patsy Riley (R), and their significant contributions to the state. Both women worked diligently alongside their husbands, families, and communities to create a better future for Alabama. They will share how they overcame challenges and transformed life situations into positive outcomes. Key initiatives they supported include securing funds to restore the Governor’s Mansion, promoting tourism, raising awareness and funds for programs supporting abused and battered women, strengthening educational testing, and encouraging economic growth. Despite political differences, they remain united by their shared values of faith, family, and a deep commitment to Alabama.

This documentary will premiere on Alabama Public Television on March 20th, 2025 and also on March 23rd at 1:00 PM on the NBC affiliate in Huntsville, AL., WAFF 48
